About Onward to Opportunity – Formerly Known as Veteran Career Transition Program
In the next five years, over one million military service members and their families will transition to civilian life. For many, finding employment will be the most challenging part of their transition. Onward to Opportunity formerly known as the Veteran Career Transition Program (O2O)– a public-private partnership between the Schultz Family Foundation, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University, in collaboration with the United States Department of Defense – has the potential to fundamentally shift how the private sector engages and supports our service members and their families as they navigate the transition to civilian employment.
To empower highly qualified transitioning service members and military families with the specific skills, certifications and training required to start successful civilian careers in growing industries. Onward to Opportunity connects hiring employers to veteran talent that is prepared to meet current, real-time labor market needs.
